Year 7 go behind the scenes at Old Trafford & Anfield

17.05.2013

The current project for year 7 Live2Learn students is design their own sports stadium. To help with the task they have been researching different Rugby stadiums which will be used in the Rugby League World Cup and some students have been to visit Old Trafford and Anfield.

During the visits students learnt about the facilities in the stadiums for the players and officials as well as the spectators and how the stadiums have been developed over the years as the demands of the Premier league have changed.

Many were able to sit in Alex Fergusons or Brendan Rogers seats and give interviews. In the dressing rooms they could sit in the places of their heroes and imagine what it is like in the build-up to kick-off time.

Following the tours of the stadium, everyone was able to learn about
the histories of the clubs in the museums and to see the glittering
array of silverware that the clubs have won over the years.
