Germany Trip to Kamp Bornhofen
09.09.2011On the 20th of July 2011, the Year 10s and 11s set off to Kamp Bornhofen, Germany . The 17 hour ride was extremely tiring but was definitely worth it. “The German trip was a once in a life time opportunity, and a worth while trip.” Brandon Lee 11O
On the first day, we visited the local town of Cochem where students could go for a chair lift ride, go shopping around the town or visit the Schloss. “The chairlift was fantastisch and I loved the amazing views that surrounded the town.” Liam Green, 10T We also got to go to Cochem waterpark which was “Spectacular and lots of fun.” Meg Lee, 10M.
The second day consisted of going to Germany’s famous theme park, Phantasia Land, were everyone enjoyed the exciting rides and astounding atmosphere. “Everywhere I looked there were smiling faces. The park contained not just rides but different cultures and themes to please everyone!” Emma Jones, 11C.
Our third day was a bit calmer as we went for a pleasant shop in the town of Rudesheim, which had lovely streets with traditional German music playing. We also went to Rudesheim water park where Meg Lee learned to swim and which contained a 10m diving board! “Everyday and night was action packed, the hotel and its staff were excellent and the view over the River Rhine was beautiful.” Tom Keen 11M. All the students would like to thank the staff, Mrs Lloyd, Helen Lloyd, Mr Roberts and Mr Lane, for taking us on an amazing trip which we all would love to experience again.
