Learning Beyond the Classroom

On Monday 8th and Friday 12th November, two Year 9 classes went to Rainhill City Learning Centre to learn how to create podcasts using high specification Applemac computers.

The staff at the City Learning Centre commended students on their excellent behaviour and the pride they clearly have in their new uniform and the Academy itself. Students said how much they enjoyed the experience. It was a great chance to use different facilities (Daniel Winstanley) and it really helped in learning German (Jade Hamilton). Miss Blum and Mrs Lloyd were very impressed by the dedication of all students involved as well as with the completed podcasts, which can be viewed on our Virtual Learning Environment in the Year 9 German section (unit 1 Meeting People). Special thanks go to Miss Blum for organising the visits.
