OFSTED Success

The academy hosted a visit over two days on Tuesday 31 January and Wednesday 1 February from OFSTED.

Inspectors met with staff and students to find out more about the achievements of our young people since we opened in September 2010. The inspection team visited over thirty classes and looked at the plans put into place to accelerate achievement and progress. We are
delighted that OFSTED confirmed the improvements made over the last eighteen months and they recognised many significant strengths – particularly in our specialisms - Science and Sports.

OFSTED left the academy with a very clear direction to further improve the progress and attainment of all students so that over time it exceeds national expectations. I would like to thank you all for supporting us in improving outcomes for our young people.
