Sports Diploma Students visit Edge Hill
18.03.2011Students on the level 3 in sports diploma visited Edge Hill this week where they took on elite fitness
testing.
They used highly accurate skin fold callipers, mathematic equations, BIA (Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis) equipment and the Bod Pod which is a £30,000 piece of equipment, all to test levels of body fat and other tissues. They also used resistance bikes to calculate their VO2 max.
"The equipment and the labs were awesome, every test is ridiculously accurate". Jamie Clarke (12RBW) "Seeing how nice the campus is, the level of work which they do and the life the students live really makes you want to go to university" Sophie Gaskell (12RBW)
The class will be visiting the Edge Hill sports laboratories again next week. - Mr Lane
