Student Learner Conference

On Wednesday 12 October, student council members from each year group were invited to a Learner Conference held at the Park Inn, St Helens.

The day started off with a breakfast, and an introduction from the staff organising the event. Students were then put into mixed groups and given a selection of team building exercises to complete.  The sessions that followed focused on the role of the student council and how to run  successful meeting. The students all worked well in their groups and had lots of ideas for the next meeting agenda.

At the academy we are keen to encourage our students to have a voice and help to make a change.
