Student Voice Conference
18.03.2011On Wednesday 16 March, student council members from each year group were invited to attend a Student Voice Conference held at The Park Inn in St Helens.
The day started off with team building exercises with all year groups mixing together. The sessions that followed focused on the role of the student council and how to run a successful meeting. Students worked well in their groups and all had some good ideas for the next meeting agenda. Here at the academy we are keen to encourage our students to have a voice and help to make a change.
Student comments: “ I feel more confident in my student council role”, “The session has been excellent and there was some really good advice”, “The team building exercise was great”.
