Wish FM Studio Visit

On Monday 13 September a group of students went on a visit to the Wish FM studios in Wigan.

We arrived at Wish Fm around 1pm, and was greeted by DJ Chris Milow.  We were taken in to a recording studio, were the group were all given their script to each choose a line to record for the academy open evening advert. The students were very enthusiastic and really showed their performing arts skills whilst doing the voice overs. Once the clips had been recorded, Chris worked his magic and combined them in preparation for the sound effects to be added.

After the advert was done the group were then taken on a grand tour of the Wish FM studios visiting the news room, the main server room, other radio station’s studios and even a live on air show.

The day was a great success and our advert will be aired every day during the week leading up to our open evening.  Well done to the students who represented the academy during this event.
