Year 12 Animation
13.06.2011Last term, Year 12 art students had the opportunity to work with the BBC in Manchester on a stop-frame animation for the ‘Our War’ season, reflecting the 10 years of conflict in Afghanistan.
Over 3 long days, pupils produced sets, props and figures for the scenes that tell the story of a boy who loses his brother to the war in Afghanistan and how the war has changed his life. Students were instrumental in shooting all the scenes, complete with lighting effects.
Staff and animators from the BBC were very impressed with the
commitment shown by our students and the resulting animation is now available to view on the BBC3 website.
