Year 8 Football v Haydock

The game started at a ferocious pace, Jack Gerrard (8JWR) started well taking on the opposition down the right wing with mazy runs.  We had the majority of possession first half with Craig Leadbetter (8AAT) and Scott Woodward getting forward and providing some quality crosses. Jamie Brownbill broke through the middle and made a Cantona-esq chip up and over the keeper into the corner of the net, 1-0. 

Haydock hit back with a free kick and then against the run of play in the second half scored a scrappy goal to make it 2-1 to the away side. It was a great effort from the Year 8 lads and we were unlucky to lose against a strong Haydock team.
