Exams & Revision

Exams are just one of many different types of assessment that you will encounter in your academy life.

They aim to test your knowledge and understanding of the subject, and your ability to present and express ideas logically and coherently.

Exams and revision can be tackled with careful preparation and a methodical organised approach. You may wish to devise a plan before you start. See the Exam Preparation Booklet (Year 11) opposite.

We also encourage our students to practice using past papers, these can easily be accessed through subject teachers at the academy. Please see subject teachers for more information.

SAM Learning

SAM Learning is also available for students and staff to access at the academy.

Students can log in and complete interactive tests, exam practice questions and exam papers, while staff can assign homework and monitor students’ progress. SAM has a proven track record: studies have shown that using the service leads to better exam results.
